Our pure linen sheets create a nighttime oasis. Woven of 100% linen in a dreamy shade of grey, the chambray sheets naturally regulate temperature, keeping sleepers cool in warm weather and warm in cooler months. Set includes one flat sheet, one fitted sheet and two standard pillowcases with full and queen sets or two king pillowcases with a king set. This product is certified by Oeko-Tex®, an international association focused on textile safety and sustainable production. Oeko-Tex® tests for known harmful substances and chemicals as well as for acidity and color fastness. All components of the product must comply with stringent Oeko-Tex® standards to achieve certification.
The best way to care for your linen is to machine wash warm on the gentle cycle with like colors. Never use bleach! A non-chlorine bleach can be used if necessary. Tumble-dry low and remove promptly. The inherent wrinkles are a natural asset to the relaxed beauty of linen, but you may use a warm iron if preferred. After the first or second wash, if you notice the raw edge start to "unravel" slightly, don't worry! This is completely natural. Just cut off any threads, and as your sheets are used and laundered a couple times the edge of the fibres will expand a bit to keep threads in place.
At Sofieluxe, we stand behind the quality of our products and want every purchase to be a positive experience. We will do our best to make things right if you are not satisfied. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase! If within 100 days of receiving your Sofieluxe linens you’re not totally happy with them — for whatever reason — just return them for a full, no-questions- asked refund. It’s that simple.

Getting to Know linen.

Linen fabric is woven from the fibres of the flax plant, a highly sustainable crop that also creates many byproducts we are familiar with like flax oil and flaxseeds. The flax fibres are used to create yarn which is then woven into fabric. Flax crops are naturally very resilient and use far less water and pesticides than other crops such as the cotton plant.

The best flax is grown in Europe due to the ideal weather climate and Belgium and France are considered to have the highest quality flax. Although there is also flax grown in other countries such as India.

The flax is then dyed and woven into fabric meterage for making products. For ‘Natural’ colored linen, the yarn is left undyed. The linen fabric can then be garment dyed and this is where the colors are added to the Natural linen to create a completed piece. Chambray linen is created with two colors (typically White and another color) woven together. Bedding and apparel are then created from the fabric and the final step of the process is typically a stonewash with natural enzymes. The combination of the stones and enzymes create an acceleration in the softening of the fabric that would otherwise take years to accomplish.

Testimonials

I've heard amazing things linen sheets and was excited to try these. I was also warned in advance that you need to wash them SEVERAL times before they soften up. Quality wise, they seem to be good, I've only had them a month. Six washes in they are softening up. They are also very big but i think that's because the linen can shink. I bought them because I heard they were great for sleeping cool. To that end, they do seem to be a lot better than the cotton sheets i had before. Not as soft but cooler. I'm hoping a few more washes will help soften these up more

What makes a quality linen?

Benefits of linen.

Aside from the environmental benefits that the production of linen supports, there are many benefits to using linen in the home to sleep on. Linen is very comfortable in warm climates: it is naturally highly absorbent, meaning it can absorb a high percentage of its own weight in water without feeling wet.

It is also highly breathable given its woven nature and will be temperature to sleep in, for both hot and cool sleepers. Linen is also considered to be a very long lasting fabric, although the length of its life will depend on a number of factors like the weight of the linen and also the way it is used and cared for. The stone washing process that is used in today's linen production does accelerate the ageing process, so the longevity that we’ve seen in our grandparents' linens which were heavier weight and not as soft to start, may not be matched by linen produced today.

A great choice for those conscious of the environmental impact of their purchases, most pure linen bedding is simply designed so won’t date, can be used for years, and also is produced much more efficiently than other fabrics such as cotton, with very little water and pesticides.
